Rental Policies

RENTAL CONDITIONS APPLY TO ALL ADDITIONAL DRIVERS. MAXIMUM OF TWO ADDITIONAL DRIVERS PER RENTAL. AN ADDITIONAL DRIVER FEE OF 17.51 EUR PER RENTAL APPLIES.

Minimum rental age is 21 years except for the following cars- 23 years for SVMR - Standard Pax Van. 25 years for SFMR- standard 4x4 and IDAR and IDMR Intermediate Automatic and Manual. There is no maximum age rule or fee. A young driver fee of 9.22 EUR per day plus VAT with a maximum charge of 92.20 EUR per rental applies for renters aged between 21 and 24.

COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER CDW AND THEFT WAIVER TP LIMITS THE CUSTOMERS FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSS, DAMAGE OR THEFT OF THE RENTAL VEHICLE. THE MAXIMUM EXCESS THAT IS PAYABLE IN THE EVENT OF ONE OF THESE INCIDENTS IS 2000.00 EUR. THE MAXIMUM EXCESS WILL VARY DEPENDING ON THE VEHICLE YOU ARE RENTING, PLEASE ASK AT TIME OF RENTAL FOR FURTHER INFORMATION ON WHICH EXCESS APPLIES. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO REDUCE OR REMOVE YOUR EXCESS RESPONSIBILITY PLEASE ASK THE RENTAL STAFF WHEN COLLECTING YOUR VEHICLE ABOUT ADDITIONAL PRODUCTS THAT ARE ON OFFER.

Domestic one ways are available between the Saint Denis airport and Saint Denis downtown location free of charge. Domestic one-ways between other locations in Reunion are available for all car groups with a drop fee of 27.65 Euro plus VAT per rental. All one-way rentals must be pre-booked. International one- ways are not permitted.

Rental vehicle is supplied with a full tank of fuel. If the rental vehicle is not returned with a full tank, refueling charges and a service surcharge will apply. Service surcharge is 11.06 EUR plus VAT.

RENTAL VEHICLES ARE NOT PERMITTED TO LEAVE REUNION.

PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE PAI PROTECTS THE RENTERS LIABILITIES IN CASES OF BODILY INJURY AS A CONSEQUENCE OF ANY ACCIDENTS INCURRED DURING THE TERM OF THE RENTAL AGREEMENT. PAI COVERAGE IS OPTIONAL AND IS AVAILABLE AT 3.05 EUR PLUS VAT PER DAY.

All major credit cards, vouchers, and travelers cheques in euros are accepted. Eurocheques are not accepted. Cash rentals are not allowed. Deposit is held on credit card for between Euro 1000.00 and Euro 2000.00 depending on car group until the rental vehicle is returned.

IN THE EVENT OF BREAKDOWN OR ACCIDENT PLEASE CONTACT THE RENTAL PICKUP LOCATION. A ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE TELEPHONE NUMBER WILL ALSO BE PROVIDED AT THE TIME OF THE RENTAL. IF NECESSARY A REPLACEMENT CAR WILL BE PROVIDED IN CASES OF BREAKDOWN OR ACCIDENT.

All valid types in Roman alphabet, only licence in renters name and originals accepted. Must have been held for at least one year. International licence with national only. Should your driving licence not be resident to the country of origin of your booking we reserve the right to charge an appropriate rate for your country of residence.

The cost of a rental car depends on many factors and can vary greatly. These factors include:

  • The length of time you are renting the car
  • Car class selected
  • Rental location
  • Added insurance or protection products
  • Additional products selected
  • If you have to modify your reservation
  • If you have to extend your reservation
  • If you have to change your rental drop-off location

For the most accurate pricing, start a reservation.

To rent a car from Enterprise Rent-A-Car in the United States and Canada, you will need the following:

  • To be 25 years old 
  • A valid driver's license with a photo
  • A photo ID (For example: a driver’s license or passport)
  • Credit or debit card (check the acceptable forms of payment at the location you’re renting from)

Some locations may require additional information, including but not limited to: 

  • An International Driving Permit (IDP): If the license is written in a language or characters different to those of the country of rental, an IDP is also required. Renters are advised to check whether local authorities require foreign drivers to present an International Driving Permit to avoid the risk of potential fines. Renters with licenses from countries who are not part of the International Driving Permit Agreement should carry a certified translation.
  • Return travel and accommodation information: Visitors to the UK must also provide proof of return travel and accommodation information while in the UK. 

As a customer, you have a choice as to how you would like to pay for fuel.

Fuel Policy at Non-Airport locations:

  • You may refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level you received when you picked up the vehicle, or if you choose not to refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level, you will be charged the local Enterprise rate which is typically above the local pump price. An additional refueling charge may apply at some locations.
  • A full tank of gas is not guaranteed.

Fuel Policy at Airport Car Rental Locations:

  • You may refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level you received when you picked up the vehicle, or if you choose not to refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level, you will be charged the local Enterprise rate which is typically above the local pump price. An additional refueling charge may apply at some locations.
  • You may opt to pre-pay for fuel -- Pre-pay gives you two conveniences:
    • You can avoid the hassle of having to fuel up the vehicle before returning.
    • Pre-pay fuel option is calculated at the local rate of gas minus a per gallon discount.

Note: Prepaid fuel is only sold in full tanks at the discounted price per gallon and is not refundable. Local fuel rates will vary by the area you are renting a vehicle.
